As the sun blazed high and spirits soared even higher, the LifeBank Foundation hosted an exhilarating Sportsfest-themed summer social event at Maasin Gymnasium, Maasin, Iloilo last May 25, 2024. Transforming the traditional beach event into a vibrant sports extravaganza, employees from all departments came together for a day of friendly competition, teamwork, and celebration. This year’s summer social kicked off with a colorful parade, as teams proudly gathered and marched in the gymnasium, each clad in their distinct team colors. From the jubilant cheers and chants of each team and the thrill of competition to the laughter shared among colleagues, the event created memories that would be cherished for years to come. Beyond its recreational value, Sportsfest has strengthened bonds, fostered teamwork, and created a sense of belonging within the LBF family.
The flag-raising ceremony took center stage following the parade, with each team proudly hoisting their banners high. It marked a symbolic juncture, embodying unity and pride as employees rallied to support their respective teams.
In his opening address, Mr. Roberto Mediana Jr., Microfinance Operations (MFO) Vice President, expressed his enthusiasm for the shift towards a sports-oriented summer social. He emphasized the importance of fostering teamwork and camaraderie beyond the confines of the office, highlighting the Sportsfest as a platform to strengthen bonds and create lasting memories.

As the sun began to set, the finals of all games brought the competition to a thrilling climax, with teams giving their all in pursuit of victory. After a series of spirited games between various teams within the company, the atmosphere was already charged with enthusiasm and energy. LifeBank Foundation and Healthy Kitchen came together for a basketball exhibition game that showcased camaraderie, sportsmanship, and the power of teamwork beyond the realms of their respective professions.
The culmination of the event was the awarding ceremony, where teams and individuals were recognized for their outstanding performance, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Cheers erupted as winners proudly accepted their awards, celebrating their achievements with pride. The Blue Team emerged as the undisputed champions of the sportsfest, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork that propelled them to victory. Following closely behind, the Orange Team secured the second spot, while the Yellow Team claimed the third position with their tenacity and determination. The White Team, displaying commendable efforts, secured the fourth spot with their spirited performance. In the artistic realm, Ms. Shane Madrona, representing the Blue Team, captivated the audience and clinched victory in the Muse contest with her grace and eloquence. Meanwhile, Mr. Kim Blue from the Yellow Team stole the show in the Singing contest, mesmerizing everyone with his performance and securing a well-deserved win.
The day concluded with a sumptuous dinner for all the employees.
