One major initiative of LifeBank involves its strategic coordination with Partnership for Transparency Asia Foundation Inc. (PTFA), which is dedicated to advancing innovative citizen- led approaches aimed at enhancing local governance, increasing transparency and promoting the local rule of law. This collaboration underscores LifeBank’s commitment to supporting grassroots initiatives that foster sustainable development and empower local communities.
Working closely with the Local Government Unit ( LGU) of Perpetual Help Iriga City, LifeBank and PTFA spearheaded the establishment of Parina Multi-Sector Association Inc. This collaborative effort aims to empower individuals by facilitating the creation of livelihood programs. Among the association’s products are intricately crafted handmade products, which not only showcase local craftsmanship but also contribute to the economic empowerment of the society.
Parina Multi-sector Association Inc. marked its inception as an organization last December 27, 2022. Following the necessary legal processes, the association was officially registered on March 20, 2023 with an accreditation from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and recognition as an organization within the Barangay Community by May 2023.
Shirley Catimbang, serving as the President of Parina Multi-Sector Association expressed profound gratitude on behalf of all its members for the opportunity provided by LifeBank. Through this partnership, they have not only gained valuable entrepreneurial skills but also cultivated a strong sense of unity and cooperation within the community.
