The LifeBank Microfinance Foundation, Inc. has been one of our most supportive partners in achieving our goals for the Municipality of Maasin. As the father of our beloved town, I am beyond grateful for the Foundation’s contribution in changing the lives of our less fortunate constituents, especially in the field of health and education. With constant collaboration, we have provided scholarship grants to deserving college students. We have also addressed the problems of malnutrition and stunting in the community through its BBF1KD project with CORE Philippines. Most recently, we are quite fortunate for being the recipient of LBF’s donation - a brand-new emergency transport vehicle. This is a much-needed equipment that will greatly improve our health and emergency response.

"I've been a member of LBF for almost 10 years now. What I've availed, the WaSH loan, and it's a great help. The back of our house was very disorganized and had a rough finish so I'm very thankful because LBF helped us to have a better home life. LBF has helped us immensely, especially us who don't earn a lot. LBF has given us an opportunity to put up our own business. I'm now able to help in our household expenses and LBF has really improve our quality of life. Thank you so much LBF and management."

Joining and establishing a relationship with LBF gave Fe an opportunity for financial growth and security, through her access to the organizations’ financial products and services. Through her business, she was able to help and been instrumental in the rehabilitation of the well-being of her fellows. She also gained the trust of LBF through a visible project that the lent capital went into.

When I became a scholar of LBF through its Education Scholarship Program, I had a chance to avail of free education. The program molded me to become a good student and be a better person. The project taught us not only to focus on your studies but also in building our social skills, thus enhancing our social responsibilities and leadership skills.

Walking down the memory lane, I was once an Account Officer and a Branch Manager in one of LBF branch offices before I handled auditing and treasury functions. In my entire stint as an account officer and a branch manager, I was touched by life-stories of the members. These stories taught me contentment in life. Witnessing my client-members rise above poverty line made me grateful and this is where I find meaning and satisfaction as far as my work is concerned. LBF taught me to have good work ethics. This is where I also value trust and integrity.

Having LifeBank assistance, she was able to expand her business. With extreme patience, an austere lifestyle and a tremendous amount of self-resistance, she managed to save 10% of her monthly income. She was able to send their three children to college with the help of LBMF to earn a degree and currently the eldest owns a small business; the second and the youngest are now working.
True to its purpose, LifeBank continues to make lives better, and its rippling effect is one that sparks hope, resilience, selflessness, and entrepreneurship among its beneficiaries, and their communities.
